Russia and Iran are targeting the Make America Great Again movement and trying to “destabilize the right from within,” according to a new report.

Both rogue states are using tens of thousands of social media bots to amplify untrue voices and opinions “masquerading as MAGA loyalists,” to cause chaos and confusion and question US leadership, The Post has learned.

The bots are automated software applications that mimic human activity on social media.

They are used to amplify real-life influencers who post untrue “false flag” narratives designed to discredit President Donald Trump and his conservative stalwarts, according to a bombshell new report from the Network Contagion Research Institute, a politically neutral nonprofit who study extremism on the web.

Reporter: If the U.S. were to take some sort of military action, would the president go to congress to seek war authority?

Ваши собеседники то ли не понимают, то ли делают вид, что не понимают, что для распространения российской пропаганды совершенно не необходимо, чтобы RT смотрели миллионы американцев. Миллионы американцев получают информацию от RT через других американцев, в том числе через американские СМИ, а сейчас и непосредственно от президента США.

И то, что Янкель пишет, про "иранцы не полезут на VOA искать информацию на фарси"... Иранцы в массе может и не полезут (а может и полезут, ни я, ни он этого не знаем), но само наличие ориентированного на Иран американского СМИ имеет огромное значение. Как и в случае RT, их информацию иранцы могут получать и через вторые руки, но важно чтобы эта информация была to begin with.

P.S. Я, кстати, в том же ЖЖ регулярно вижу ссылки на русскую службу BBC, хотя по логике Янкеля, кому она может быть интересна?

Employees of Voice of America’s Persian-language service who were sidelined by the Trump administration have been hastily called back to duty as Iran and Israel exchange missile strikes in a high-stakes Middle East conflict.

The U.S. Agency for Global Media told employees placed on administrative leave to immediately return to their roles providing counter-programming to Iranian state media as the conflict between the two nations escalated Friday, according to an email seen by POLITICO and three people familiar with the situation.

“Effective immediately, you are recalled from administrative leave,” said the email from USAGM’s human resources department. “You are expected to report to your duty station immediately.”

There are 75 full time employees within VOA’s Persian wing — the language predominantly spoken in Iran — and it’s believed most, if not all, have now been brought back after being put on administrative leave for three months.

VOA’s Persian service had been shut down as a part of President Donald Trump’s March 15 executive order dismantling U.S.-backed global media, which included VOA, among other outlets.

Miller bet that he and a handful of agents could go out on the streets of Washington, D.C., and arrest 30 people right away.

Plainclothes agents in at least a dozen cities have arrested migrants who showed up to their court hearings. And across the U.S., people suspected of being in the country illegally are disappearing into the federal detention system without notice to families or lawyers, according to attorneys, witnesses and officials.

In Coral Springs, Fla., at least eight agents in tactical gear, shields and rifles surrounded a home with guns raised to arrest a father with no criminal history. In Irvine, Calif., ICE agents drove a phalanx of military vehicles in the Orange County suburb to arrest a person, though not for illegal immigration. They were seeking a resident’s son who had allegedly posted fliers alerting neighbors to the presence of ICE agents.
